My name is Travis Bond and I am very excited to be the principal at Sacajawea Elementary School. I look forward to working every day with our wonderful children, supportive families and an outstanding teaching and support staff.
I believe that for schools to be successful, we must:
- Foster a positive learning environment that maintains high academic and behavioral expectations.
- Know that the academic success of a student is enhanced by the direct involvement of parents/guardians and the community (involvement means volunteering, participating, modeling behavior and attendance). At Sacajawea, we will do our best to create positive, caring and collaborative ties with our families and community.
- Have fun! Children learn best when they go to a school that they enjoy on a daily basis.
Sacajawea has a long history of putting these beliefs into action. I will continue working with all of you to build on our many successes and develop new ways to help our children thrive as learners. Together, we will achieve our school’s vision of fostering a positive learning environment where our students become lifelong learners and responsible, contributing citizens.
